Compiling a [C] program in Linux

Posted on: May 16, 2009

To compile a [C] program in linux

on the command line simply type:

gcc -o foo.out foo.c

Where:

gcc is the compiler

-o is an option that tells it to use the next string as the file name

foo.c is the file you are trying to compile

Happy Compiling 🙂
